Summer time 2009

I worked with Lisa at the fair for the 3rd year. I should have taken more pictures but just haven't been in a picture taking mood lately. Anyway, this was a big something somebody made at the entrance.

Me and Lisa working at entertainment check in.

The campsite. We had just taken down our tent.

Back on our property...

We finally got to bury Kelpo's ashes in his blanket. He's buried next to the plumb tree (our first fruit tree in our orchard) that Tom and Kristina gave us.

Pretty growing trees in Oregon.

June 2009

Okay so now I'm just nearly caught up! We made it back to our property in good ol' OR and got to catch up on life there and friends and family. It was so good!

Leaving Taichung for 6 weeks.

Spending good time with our great friends.

A short and sweet visit with my dear friend.

The kids back at the job of compost on the land.

And of course, back to the fun 60 foot slip and slide we make every year on the land.

February, March, and April 2009

Grandma Vicki came to Taiwan for a month visit and did a puppet show for Maliah's class.

Malachi shows his clarinet skills during the Spring concert. He's back and center in the blue shirt.

Maliah lost her first big front tooth.

Maliah loves taking pictures. The next 3 are by her.

Malachi by the Morrison track

Baby cousin Maren who came to live with us with her mom and dad for a few weeks while settling into Taiwan life.

Of course we must include the big Track and Field day!

Here is the athlete himself!

He picked high jump

  and did rather well!

October, November, December, January....
Taiwan days, friends, and fun.

An old abandoned traditional home. It's sad to see these places just left unloved. This house was cut in 2 in order to put a very small road through it.
This man was going about in his traditional tribe garb downtown Taipei. Jared told the guy that he had two wives (me and his real wife there) and so insisted on taking a picture with us. haha.

This biker takes his ancestor worship burning bucket with him. He put together some sort of hanging system for easy removal.

Nothing like playing in dirt while waiting at school for Malachi to get out.

And, surprisingly enough, we do have blue skies for a few months during winter.
